Who's behind GamersDigArt.com?

Greetings and salutations! Thanks for checking out the site. We hope that this site will flourish and grow over time with other artist and fellow gamers with this shared passion for video games and art. We also wish for this place to be a spot that generates any lost sparks artist may experience from time to time, and be a place that motivates others to keep cracking away at their art. Also, be sure to be on the look out for the monthly contest that awards the winner with a free game of their choice. We also offer interviews with artists/gamers that range from people trying to break into the biz to already established artists in the industry. Lastly we celebrate the gamer who digs art! It may have started with just two guys and some art, but this is just the beginning...come on in sign up, register an account and join the fun. ALL the cool kids are doing it!

My real name is Ramel Hill. I am a product of the 80's. (which means I love TMNT, Thundercats, GI: JOE, Transformers, Pirates of Dark Water, Exo Squad, etc) I am a father of two energetic children and husband to one beautiful lady.

This site started as an idea...similar to any sketch or illustration that develops over time. I don't know why it needed to be created, but I felt the void was there. I have been a gamer since a very young age. I saw games as more than just a past time or hobby. They were gateways to new stories and interactive adventures. Fast Forward some years and still believe this to be true. This site is a combination of two passions of mine...I am a Gamer that digs art.

Hola, me llamo Nelson Polanco. I reside in NYC with my amazing wife and my newborn son (as of 7/9/09, he's the smaller human in the pic to the left). I too was born in the 80's and have a tremendous passion for games and art which made it a no brainer for me when Ramel approached me about the project. I was to originally only design and build the site, but I eventually joined in and helped bring Ramel's vision to life. Now I'm part of the vision, sharing whatever knowledge I have on art and games and keeping the site as solid as possible.

I believe that GamersDigArt was necessary in that I felt there wasn't a place like on the internet. We wanted somewhere that people that did FanArt could go to share their art, win great prizes in a contest and just plain ol' have fun. So join up soldier, this is all for you! The community needs you!
