Really hard to pick from this batch of entries.  Thanks to all the artist who contributed to the Final Boss Contest.  I am really impressed with all the gamers who enjoy art out there.  

I enjoy art on many levels and I showed A LOT of artist all the entries so I wouldn't have to make the selection on my own.  I took all their input and added another category to the list.  How much satisfaction could a player take in taking down that boss.  (Bragging rights!!!) With that in mind I had to choose...

Great composition and it even looked like it was fun to do.  Congratulations Daniel!  

Yeah it took chops to beat this boss. 

 

You would punch and punch and it was like nipping away at an oak tree....he hits you a couple of times and it was over....

Mike was no joke back in the day.  What is Mike up to these days?

In all honesty I have no idea what he wants.  But it's his choice. That's how it works around here.  Thanks again Daniel!  And a big thanks to everyone else  who entered.   And for the record this is not Daniel!!!!

Congratulations to the winner! I must say that this was probably my favourite of the entries also, but that's not to say the others weren't amazing.

Critique
Ok, I need to say something about the entry that won. I wasn't part of the contest, but I was watching the progress.

The Anatomy is quite off, and the rendering could use a lot of work. The lighting isn't correct either and Tyson's arms look like loaves of bread to put it bluntly.

And about the whole Bragging rights category, that is completely irrelevant when it comes to judging the actual art itself.
