Well...time for another interview. We are always scouring the interweb looking for fantastic artist who are also into video games to interview here.  I believe in motivating other artist, and one thing is for sure Rogie Custodio motivates a lot of people!

-Could you start with a brief bio about yourself...age, what you do for a living, where you are from.

I’m 20 years old, from Brighton UK, and I’m on my second year in university doing animation production.

Sophomore in college!!  Crazy!!!

- How long have you been serious about art in your life?

I took art seriously since  my youth, maybe about 9 years old. I discovered that I have some sort of talent in that field so I didn’t waste my time and tried to develop it until now.

-What type of process do you usually go through when creating an illustration?

I usually find some inspiration first. I then try sketching my ideas down on paper, then usually paint over them on Photoshop.

- What Computer programs do you typically use?

I only use Photoshop on all my work… It’s the only digital program I know how to use well… haha…

And use it well you do!

- Who are some artist that motivate you?

A lot of artists motivate me, stylistically I would say egon shiele, masashi kishimoto, kubo tite, hirofumi Suzuki.

All great inspirational artist who have had an impact on anime and manga comics.

- What are some dream projects you would like to work on? And what companies to work for?

At the moment, I am very open to what comes my way. There’s just too many options that I cant decide for sure… But if I focus on one thing, I kind of forget most of the other things that may be important. So I try to keep and open mind for the art field. But right now, I would like to get in to major animation companies and be an Art Director.

- How many hours a week do you put into your art?

This totally depends on what I’m doing. At university, we usually draw everyday. We have sessions of life drawing from 9am – 5pm which could some times go on till 9 in the evening. But if I’m doing some digital work, It usually is and average of 4 hours per piece.

- Are you playing any games right now and if so which ones?

At the moment, not really, but I use to be an avid gamer. Haha. I play Tekken 5 now and then because my friends keep nagging me to, and Naruto GNT4 on the GameCube.

- What goals do you have with your art in the next 2 years?

Hmm… Not sure yet to be honest. I will still be in Uni… I think I might go traveling after I graduate. Maybe look for a job at the same time. haha

-Weird question...but i gotta ask...how would you survive a zombie Apocalypse?

Haha…That is quite weird indeed. Let’s see… Maybe If I lock myself in a storage unit that has fire arms and lots of food haha. Or I’ll just wear and armored suit so they cant bit me haha.

Thanks again Rogie! You skills are truly amazing and motivating!

As usual, every piece shown in this interview is just awesome. Drawing seriously from such a young age though, it's understandable.

I respect this kind of dedication.
